What a day! Just in from Saturday, we have 51 shooters (highest turnout yet for this location), and it's COLD and RAINING! Temps hovering around 40 (OK, it's cold for Georgia...), everything soaked, misty drizzle alternating with actual rain, and we are having a ball.
This group of attendees has impressed me a great deal with their perseverance and teachable attitudes. We have had remarkably few malfunctions (so far--clean those rifles!), and no whining. Good camaraderie and helpfulness. There's hope for the country yet.
Big day tomorrow--more history, target detection, rangefinding, trajectory, wind estimation and correction, team shooting, and the AQT grind! Gonna forge some riflemen in the crucible of the AQT...
