The forecast called for early rain and temperatures dipped below freezing overnight. As always, however, Leyden came through for us!
The sun peeked from behind some clouds, the frost on the grass slowly disappeared, and three shooters made their way to the new Rifle range, away from the ongoing Pistol event and our customary southern spot. Everyone was attentive, thoughtful, and relaxed, allowing us to have a safe and productive event.
Groups shrank throughout the day, positions were refined, a Redcoat target was cleaned, the Shingle was hit (PING!) with one shot, a Patch was awarded (231!), and a new Instructor in Training was minted.
Overall, a successful event, with an excellent group of shooters, at a superb location.
