This past weekend, Project Appleseed was honored to join 20 Trailmen at their annual campout in Tony Wisconsin. This event was special not only because it was our first time that we partnered with Trail Life but also because of the date. We not only remembered the events of Sept.11,2001 but on Sept. 11, 2021, the Barber Brothers (Malcom, Leroy, and Randolph) returned to their home town. They were serving aboard the USS Oaklahoma when it was sunk on Dec.7,1941. After 80 years ,they were identified, and returned to New London Wisconsin for their funeral and final resting place.
Never forget.
Congratulations to our newest Rifleman, Leo (212) , Guy (212), and a requal Rob (216). We only had time to do 3 AQT's so these Rifleman were paying attention!
Special thanks to our instructors , Guard the Fire, cjcb, IronMike, MommaBear 59, and RustyRed. It takes a special person to have the patience and perseverance to teach young people these skills. I was blessed to work with all of you.
Finally, I want to mention that it was an honor to work with TrailLife and their state representative, CJ , without him none of this would have happened. This is a great organization and I look forward to working with them in the future.

This is awesome and congrats to the Riflemen. Huzzah! I am the Troopmaster for MD-1318 in Maryland and would love to arrange for an Appleseed event for our Navigators and Adventurers in the future.

We definitely will. My current status with the National Guard makes coordination difficult on my end, but I might have one of my other adults in the troop reach out to you. If not, I'll make sure this happens as soon as my duty status allows.
