Title: Colorado Springs, CO - AAR - Sept 11-12, 2021

Another great weekend spent with Appleseed folks at the Pikes Peak Gun Club. We're fortunate to have a strong supporter of Project Appleseed in PPGC. They allow us on the range two hours before they open, they make sure we a have a bay with shade so that lunch and the history presentations are more relaxing and our shooters get the discounted member pricing for range fees.

This was a FUN group of shooters. All were experienced shooters who soaked up the knowledge offered and demonstrated by our Instructors and the shooters readily placed into action the three pillars of marksmanship. Dylan and Chinh were returning shooters who each brought a friend to hear the history of April 19, 1775. Saturday was a hot one for Colorado at 97 degrees. Along with staying hydrated, several breaks under the shade refreshed us enough to keep improving our marksmanship through trigger and NPOA drills and we were able to finish an AQT before the end of the day. On Sunday (which was 15 degrees cooler), Chinh requalified as Rifleman and Nick, an orange hat transplant form Alabama, requalified with his bolt rifle proving that slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Joe, Chuck and Dylan's groups tightened-up throughout the weekend and they all shot some great Stages. It won't take long before those Stages are on the same AQT and they'll be Riflemen! Additionally, we had two instructor's "walk the walk" by requalifying. We finished the weekend with two shooters clearing the weekend's last Redcoat target.

Passionate and educational Strikes and DOM on Warren, Wyman and Whittemore help spread the call of Liberty. Captain's DOM on Warren always gets people thinking about sacrifice!

Congratulations to all you Patriots, and especially to Shannon for making it through his Sbit3.  Well done, both students and Instructors!
