Many thanks to those that gave up their Sunday to help with, the clean up at our National Home Range in Ramsuer. Visible improvements were made with the removal of old item that had accumulated over time old brass, cardboard, target line, both 25 meter and the 500 yrd range, office & weeds. Much progress was made and more to made in the future to our Project Appleseed National Home Range. thank for a job well done on a hot and humid day.
many thanks to: Monkey, Polonius, Hawkeye, Torin, Rmac, Mother Batherick( great job in the office), BoltGunBill, Wolfhound, (who like Monkey, had good distance to travel to get here), and Farm Cat, who's entire family participated. thanks Ms. Aaron, Ryan & Ms. Claire, who swept the entire firing line. and last but DEFINITELY not least, to Fred, who's encouragement and advise is well heeded.

Huzzah!!! ^:)^
The weather was really good to us, up until mid-afternoon, after somebody turned up the temperature of the sun. By then, most of the work had already been completed.
I was honored and humbled to help out. There's more work to do to be sure, as well as the routine stuff, but the team that showed yesterday did an absolutely AWESOME job.
And more importantly, we now have MOMENTUM.
These events will happen quarterly, with the next one of these tentatively the first week in November, where we're going to knock out a couple of pretty big projects that'll require some significant manpower...and a little bit of heavy equipment. ;) :)
And if it helps convince you to come out, we'll bring food too. ;D
In the meantime - thanks to Polonius and his affiliation with the Naval Sea Cadet Corps, the range will host a swarm of Sea Cadets on August 29th to help Hawkeye and Polonius close out some important range repairs and upgrades.
Thanks again to everybody who turned out on Sunday. I hope to see y'all again soon!
Enjoyed it! There's nothing like working up a good sweat.
