All week long, rain and thunderstorms were forecast for this weekend. The rain fell steadily as I travelled towards Big Springs Shooting Complex. I donned my rain suit and proceeded to set up the range. However, by 8:30am the rain ceased and never returned for the remainder of the day! The temperature was very pleasant all day long.
We had a great group of eight shooters. This is the first shoot in a very long time where all rifles on the line had iron sights only. It thrilled my heart! Although we didn't have anyone qualify Rifleman, we saw improvements across the board. Keep practicing and persisting. You will all get there!
I very much appreciated the high quality work of my fellow instructors, Iowa Mark, Twineagles and SoapCreeker. They made my job very easy.
Thanks also to Big Springs Shooting Complex for hosting us! They have an outstanding facility and we look forward to returning for our Full Distance KD in October!
