Excellent weekend! I want to thank Fenton Lakes Sportsman's Club (https://www.fentonlakes.com/) for being such a valued partner to Project Appleseed, helping to promote the event and getting such enthusiastic engagement from the board members. It was awesome having you guys on the line with us.
David and Wesley - we're honored you chose Project Appleseed to spend some quality time together. Wesley was such a trooper and we really enjoyed having him with us. I hope this becomes a tradition for you - we need more young people engaged in shooting sports and American history!
Scott & Emma - ditto for you - I'm really glad you decided to return and I hope to see you back again next year. Emma is developing into quite the shooter - I was amazed how much of the instruction she retained from May 2020.
Jon, Frank and Andy - you guys are a lot of fun with your centerfires and we enjoyed having you with us. Thanks for giving us a hand with teardown as well. Frank and Jon - you're both close to Riflemen territory, so I encourage you to practice finding/adjusting your NPOA from standing/seated/prone positions and come back for another go at it. Frank, I'm curious what kind of scores you could pull with a rimfire rifle that is optimized for Appleseed shooting. Let me know if I can talk you into shooting my rifle at the next event.
David D - I really admire your focus and persistence and it was great to see your progression over the weekend. 185 is not as far from 210 as you may think. I hope I'm working your next event because I see a Rifleman patch in your future.
Perry - I was impressed with your commitment to work through the tough positions. Seated can be tricky to figure out because it's unique for each person, and I think it's probably going to take some practice at home for you to determine how to personalize that position to your liking. A cantilevered scope mount might benefit you. It was great talking with you and I hope to see you back at a future event.
Bryan - we were all blown away with your marksmanship skills. 239 with iron sites is no joke - plus you aced stages 2 and 4, and freaked everyone out with your offhand technique. You are definitely a Rifleman. I hope you give some thought to instructing because I think you'd be great at it, and it's a very rewarding journey.
DoubleDog - as always - thanks so much for being such a great host and helping out with everything. See you at the next shoot!
Last but not least - to my instructor crew - BeeFree, TL, MrZeke, Pocket Watch, and Dread Pirate BeBop - thanks so much for all of your support this weekend. You guys are amazing!

Couldn't have said it better myself! What a great shoot! SO glad everyone came back for Sunday it was just as much fun for me as I hope it was for the shooters. Thank you to all the shooters that came out and made it possible.
An awesome group of shooters. Your attitude and efforts made teaching easy.
I would love to have this group every time.
