Title: Kingston, MI May 16, 2021 RFKD one day
Post by: D.O.M. on May 17, 2021, 08:07:54 PM
Another great RFDK event happened this past Sunday in the "Thumb" of Michigan.  :F

A big Thank You to the Marlette Sportsmen's Association for continuing to host and support Project Appleseed at these events.
Many students commented on how beautiful your range is.

We had 11 Riflemen spend their Sunday together on the 200 yard range. We had some drizzle in the morning, but the sun came out to bake us a little bit later in the day.
Being a one day event, it was hot and heavy / high speed, low drag right from the git go!  :---

A big thank you the fine folks who came to the clinic for being so well prepared. You made my day!

It was also great to see so many familiar faces. We sure have a big family!

Congratulations to those who shot riflemen scores,

and a special congrats to our Distinguished RFKD-200 shooter, Rob!  ^:)^

I know there were pics taken, so let's see 'em!

Fantastic shoot!  Thanks to all the Riflemen (and women) for coming out, and congratulations to those who walked away with the 'Rimfire KD' rockers.  Nice shooting!

200 yards with a .22 is no joke - I learned a lot about myself and my equipment the first time I did it.  I hope everyone walked away feeling like a more accomplished shooter.  If you enjoyed it I would encourage you to keep honing your long-distance skills.  There are a couple of slots still open for the Rimfire KD at Watervilet next month, and there's a full two-day Known Distance (centerfire) event in Dorr (https://appleseedinfo.org/location/?locationid=781&eventid=7809) next Fall.  Attendance is limited for that one, you may want to register early.

Thanks to Marlette Sportsman's Club for being such accommodating hosts, as always.   I hope we can do this again next year!  Who's up for a Winterseed KD?  Let's break out the snowshoes  ;D

Great shoot - thank you DOM and crew!    I learned a lot!  :1luvu  And I want to do it again!
Thanks, TWolf for the photos!  But I think I'd rather ski down the 200 yard range for a Winter RFKD than snowshoe it! (Can you imagine how long it would take me to get there in snowshoes?) %)

Another well run Appleseed.  Thanks for the great work running the event.  Special shout out to Flyboy, he ran the line perfectly all day.  D.O.M. and the Cadre are simply the best.  Your service to the marksman community is valued and appreciated.

The shooters made this a fun event.  I'll post pictures after I return from Dorr this weekend.

Nice example of a DOPE card Checkpoint!  Thanks for sharing.
