Four great Americans chose to spend their Saturday learning marksmanship and the amazing story of April 19, 1775 at the Hobbs Island Shooting Range. All were attending their first Appleseed.
We had a good mix throughout the day of instruction, practice, coaching, and history. Everyone had a positive attitude and were eager to learn. As each drill was completed, the improvement was clearly seen at the target line. The event flowed smoothly and we were able to shoot three AQTs! Persist, and that rifleman patch will be yours!
It was a very successful Appleseed. On behalf of the instructors, I want to thank all of you for spending your time with us. It was an honor to serve you. Be sure to tell your friends and family about your Appleseed weekend and how our Founding Generation preserved Liberty for us. We want to see you (and your friends and family) at another Appleseed soon!
I appreciate the work the instructors did this weekend. You all certainly made my job a lot easier.

Just wondering about the picture of Caleb and Mark; was the one youngster left eye dominant and trying to shoot right handed, just moving around, getting into position, or something else? He's sure in an awkward position...

He was not right eye dominant. Not sure why he chose to be in that position. We got him down flat and his shooting improved tremendously when all of that muscle tension went away. But he kept coming back to it and had to be reminded to get flat. When asked if he was having problems getting a good site picture flat he said no, but maybe that wasn't the case and that's why he kept doing "the worm".
It looks like a good time was had to all...hate I missed it.
