We had an awesome weekend--perfect weather and eager students! Midday Saturday we had to deploy our hawk removal squad (three nine-year-olds) to chase away a red tail hawk perched on one of our targets. We had a number of shooters whose skills improved through the weekend and will surely become Riflemen when they return. Dry practice and work on the transitions! Dylan and his dad James both scored Rifleman with 214 and 236 respectively. The Daylight Saving Time change may explain why some of our students did not return on Sunday. Thanks to those who persisted and met the challenge head-on. Special thanks to Cold Warrior (Dave) and Justagirl (Ana) who traveled from Jacksonville to help us on Saturday. With several youngsters on the line, we really appreciated the help. Sock Monkey made an appearance on Sunday and challenged Shootbosses to show their stuff on the line every Sunday. All in all, it was a very successful event.
