Saw this post you know where. Curious what the more experienced shooters here would say about this statement (in bold).
"It was one hell of an interesting and fun match and I'll definitely shoot it again. Good zeros were crucial. Most guys didn't realize you typically need an extra minute of windage for sitting. Right handed guys need to come left."
I can,t say I've noticed this at 25 meters (AQT) ane really haven't shot longer ranges from the sitting position.
From the viewpoint of a rifleman, whose goal is to put them all into a 4 MOA basket, a 1 MOA windage change is not significant.
What you are referring to is a position zero, which some people experience and others do not.
In the real world, it's best to keep things as simple as possible.
So, for example, most people need to shorten their sling a little for sitting - but I never mention that, or if I do, I tell them NOT to do it, as it's best to leave your sling set up for prone, and not "mess with it" thereafter unless absolutely necessary.
The degree to which the sling needs to be shortened is so small that it's a 'firing line' deal, not an 'in the field' deal.
Keep it simple is best.
Likewise, if a guy needs a one MOA correction for a position, I'd tell him to forget it.
In the real world, you don't want to be changing your sights all the time.
Keep 'em at BSZ and make changes only for range.
For wind, my suggestion is to simply hold off on the windward side of the target.
How much, of course, is the issue...
I have noticed that my zero changes about 2 MOA up when I go to prone. Any suggetions? Should I set my sights for prone lengthen my sling etc. Any suggestions would be apprecited.

You're thinking in the wrong direction. Your zero goes 2 MOA down when you leave prone.
Always use prone as your baseline for zero. It's THE position you're going to use for those critical long range shots.
And, you'll soon figure out that a 2 MOA shift from prone to sitting isn't near as critical as the other way to.
I suggest you change your hold for sitting to make up the difference.
