This was the first trip back to the Manchester range for the old Wreck in a few years. This is such a great place for Appleseed. State coordinator TnColonel, shoot boss at the first event I ever attended, continues to manage the range relationship for us and still manages to get a good turnout from the area even in the era of Covid-19.
It was a really good shoot on a great Labor Day Weekend! Giving thanks for the cool front which was a welcome relief compared to past years on the same holiday weekend when the heat index would routinely be over 100. We had ten shooters who were hungry to learn and we set right to work with the basics on Saturday. All progressed well and improved both days, some coming within a few points of rifleman scores. Congrats to Steve Z, Eagle Keeper, for shooting FIVE requal scores the lowest of which was a 235. HUZZAH Eagle Keeper. You're going to look good in that orange hat.
Believe it or not, there are 3 holes in that 100 yard silhouette. Eagle Keeper's lowest score of the day was 235.

A special thank you to Booney Stomper, Old Navy Doc, Tennessee Beast, Army Vet, Anvil Prime and Black Knight who turned out and made this Appleseed a success and a GREAT Labor Day weekend! Congratulations to Booney Stomper on successfully completing SBit2. Next step, Shoot Boss.
Please post pictures if you took any.
See you on the line.
Ramblin' Wreck
This was a great event. Thanks for those responsible for the event as well as the students that came out.
The phase that epitomized this class was "teachable attitude". As an instructor, after safety, that is the key to an enjoyable day. They all worked hard, prided close attention, and had fun!
I hope my next group is like this one was.
All shooters had a super teachable attitude and would immediately put into practice new and reminded teaching points. We readily welcome all of you back to the next event.
Congratulations to Steve (Eagle Keeper) on his 245 Saturday score! Steve, Thanks for stepping up by accepting that orange hat! Congratulations!!
