Another one of these "Leyden is a beautiful place, a jewel of a range, and we got lucky with the weather" reports!
The range is beautiful, the weather (despite threatening reports) did collaborate, and six shooters showed up for a mix of AQTs, 100 yard rimfire AQTs, and attempts at the 250 yard Morgan Shingle challenge with a selection of centerfire rifles.
A uniquely attentive, friendly, and upbeat group, they persevered despite the moist heat on day one and the kinda-sorta not rain on day two, overcame more than their fair share of equipment challenges, dramatically improved their marksmanship over the course of the weekend, and managed two patches, some beautiful groups on paper, and several "Aha!" moments along the way. Great contributions to the Heritage discussion by both shooters and instructors just made the whole event even better.
Weekends like this truly make it all worthwhile!
