I am no longer available as an instructor, but wish to apply as a member of the Appleseed alarm corps.
Yeah, there is no "Alarm Corps". Will continue to check the Appleseed website regularly.
I took a pledge many years ago. For better, for worse, in sickness, and in health. With that obligation, my ability to travel, or spend weekends at the range is suspended.
She has bone cancer in her spine, hip bones, femurs, and liver. We have good insurance, and ample funds. What we lack is time.
Carry on friends.
Sorry to hear that news Mark but good men know where their duty lies. Loyalty and honoring your pledge and caring for your wife always comes first. You and your wife will be in my families prayers.

Don
Sorry to hear this latest. Stepping back is definitely the right thing.
I'm around; give me a shout if I can help, talk, whatever.
God works in strange ways; I'll be praying.
She passed a week ago today.
It was breast cancer percolating through her for 25 years, by the time she would admit to herself, it covered her entire body.
She left a legacy, getting up every day putting on a happy face, and making sure it was bearable for everyone else.
42 years of marriage for us, I was lucky to have her the 44 years we were together. I entered the relationship an irresponsible jackaxx.
She guided me, not always gently.
My compass is gone, I sit wounded and bruised on a crumbled foundation.
Not ready.
Thanks Friends
Make sure you hug your loved ones often.
Start doing it today.
My thoughts and prayers are with you brother.
And yeah - I need to give my wife a bear hug this morning. Jeez our time is fleeting.
So sorry to hear of your wife's passing and of your loss. I know her legacy is a great one in the lives she touched both directly and otherwise.
Keep heart brother.

My compass is gone,
She is still with you, and always will be. Your words are the words of a man guided by a good woman. You are ready, she helped make you that way, it is evident in what you wrote. I've never met you, but it is clear that she shines on through you. You will be in my prayers.
I'm so sorry Mark. I do know exactly how you feel. We were married almost 60 years. Sorry I'm not closer to help out more.
So sorry to hear of her passing. Life is so fleeting. Prayers, brother.
I add my prayer for comfort for you. I try to imagine and fall short of what you are facing. Among many others, we are here for you.
Prayers headed your way.
I'm so sorry, Mark. It sounds like you were truly blessed by her. Prayers for comfort.
Mark,
So sad to hear of the loss of your wife. It is never easy to lose a loved one, but remember the good times. Allow your friends to help you during this time. John
