Another exciting event for Project Appleseed in Waco, TX!
Golly - where to start??? There's
SO MUCH good news :)
16 shooters came out to stare down 106 degree temps and learn about History, Heritage and Marksmanship. There was a range of skills, but BOY did we see some marksmanship:
- One shooter earned rifleman on her first ever event - and had only purchased her first firearm in January of this year!
- One shooter earned rifleman on his first ever event - and qualified for a distinguished patch!
- One of our beloved orange hats requalified
- One shooter requalified - and was
tricked into motivated to take an orange hat - welcome EubeenHadd!!! ;D
There were also several attendees that had never fired a rifle before, and showed
VERY impressive gains after two short days. A rifleman persists, and I think we'll see them back on the line soon. O0
The call of liberty is being heard throughout Texas. We had a number of orange hats helping to spread the news at this event. Four of these dedicated individuals were ready to advance into the next stage of their training - good job team!
Our very own WhitePaladin has decided that he can do even more, and requested to start the Shoot Boss in Training process #) You did great! Project Appleseed is fortunate to have you.
Some of the instructors snuck in some pistol practice between the Saturday and Sunday events. Congratulations to DCagle and Gigi, who both qualified Pistoleer™. Wow! ^:)^

This was an awesome event. Thanks to everybody who helped me out with my IIT journey over the last two days. We had some great shooters and a lot of eager students. I'm looking forward to next time!!
