Our biggest shoot this year so far: 9 students & 10 Instructors! 3 came from Colorado; 2 came from Nevada and 4 were locals. Thank you all for participating. There are still Patriots out there.
We had a wide range of weather, from shorts & tee shirts to Carhartts, with some calm periods and some that required doubling the target clips.
Jack and Leo requaled easily; others were knocking on the door and all showed great improvement. All were safe and processed new information well. A delightful group to have on the line. Huzzah!
Ditto for the Instructors: Captain, Black Russian and Captain Parker came up from Colorado - ndeining, marathongirl, wildman57, sleepy, The Homemaker, and myself from all over Wyoming. Ndeining & Captain Parker earned promotions to IIT4 and 3 respectively, Black Russian earned his RedHat and Wildman57 earned his GreenHat. Leo stepped up and took an OrangeHat. Huzzah to all!
Thanks to the Fort Fetterman Shooting Assn and the Douglas range for supporting Project Appleseed. A great venue that has gotten better over the years. Special thanks to Brian and Adam for all their help and encouragement.
Couldn't have asked for a better group of students and Instructors. Thank you all.
LIBERTAS!
Well said, Berk!
While I only caught the tail end while up to help with logistics, it looked like a great shoot.
Speaking for myself, I had a great time. It is rewarding to see the growth of shooters and instructors. I certainly have grown in the program. Attached are the pictures I took. If anyone wants a high-resolution copy, I will create a Google Onedrive file. You can see that Captain shines as a sterling instructor.
The Homemaker
Thank you so much. It was a great shoot. I learned much... I am great-full to reacquaint with old friends and make new
Looks like it was a good event, wish I could have been there. Sure miss all you guys/girls out there. Congratulations wildman for achieving green hat. Congrats to all who scored & were promoted. Hi Berk, miss you too! Lucky Lori
What a super Appleseed up in Douglas to kick off summer on the Front Range! The great people from the Fort Fetterman Sporting Association welcomed us to their 100 yard range for a belated Appleseed Patriot's Day Event.

Even the shooters got in on the instructing and helped coach "their shooter" through a ball-an-dummy drill. Not a single steely-eyed shooter was caught blinking!

Sunday afternoon was pretty eventful. Two shooters received Rifleman patches, instructors picked up a new for 2020 Wyoming cadre patch and a volley was fired in memory of those patriots who have fallen to give us the freedoms we enjoy and cherish today. We also had a new Rifleman step forward and join the Appleseed team in Wyoming - welcome Leo!

What a fine bunch of people showed for this AS. Lots of good shooting was displayed along with great attitudes by all. It really was the best crew of shooters I've worked with in a long time. My most humble appreciation goes out to each and every one of the instructors. I would surely have choked on my SBIT without your excellent assistance. Days like these give me hope for the future. Derek, a modern day "High Son of Liberty" tells me he has been spreading the word and several people have shown some real interest. Now that's what we're all about! Thanks Derek. And thanks to Adam and Brian and the FFSA for the use of the range... all week. Once again, thanks to all instructors and fellow Americans who took the time to come out and make it a fine Appleseed weekend!
