Brave Americans, undaunted by the COVID-19, descended on Ramseur, NC for the Second Conference of Riflemen RBC to soak up history and exercise their rifleman heritage. The week included the standard elements of an RBC, plus KD 201 and the new pistol course.
The Appleseed Corona Virus Mitigation Plan worked well, and with the cooperation of the students didn't slow down the event significantly. TN Beast was our instructor in charge of "social distancing", and he did a great job keeping everyone spaced appropriately. Jyorb (Doc) came out Sunday and Monday to give us guidance and he also brought numerous pump bottles of homemade hand sanitizer.
Despite the looming threat of pandemic, the shooters ALL made great progress. We had numerous riflemen:
Randy - 211 (just missed getting his KD patch with a couple of 39s)
Hayden - 225 requal
Kelly - 217
Aiden - 231 requal
Rick - 225 requal
Aaron - 211 requason - 218 (41 KD)
Will - 231 requal
Noah - 249 requal
Newell - 243 requal
TN Beast - 48 KD requal
Preacher - 45 KD requal
Pelon - 40 requal
JASON - 218 (41 KD)
Thaddeus and Cousin Hart, with Moylan's help, did an outstanding job putting on the new pistol course - and it was a great hit! Several shooters walked away with the new Pistoleerâ„¢ patch. I have no doubt that the pistol course is going to bring many new shooters to Appleseed.
Pelon offered his meal plan again this year, and he kept us well fed while helping to move the schedule along. I was hoping to lose some of these extra quarantine pounds, but (somehow) that just didn't happen. The instructors all pitched in to serve and clean up, and that allowed meals to be served with the least contact between individuals.
The event was a true group effort, and it went smoothly because of the hard work and dedication of the instructors. My thanks go out to: Pelon, Cowtipper, TN Beast, Preacher, Thaddeus, Cousin Hart, Moylan, Aim Small Hit Small, Maximum Ordinate, Jyorb, and Tanker018.
RAMSEUR 5-20!!
It's a privilege to come out and work at the Home Range. Thank you so much for your hospitality. :)
I snapped a few pictures, but it's never enough.

A little bit of adminstrative stuff... Appleseed challenge coins to our warehouse manager and bookkeeper. They are unsung heroes in this program. We couldn't do our Mission without them.

What a great visit to the Home Range!
Man has that range changed since I came west! Almost didn't recognize it. Although the covered 25m line and clubhouse seem to be in better shape. Great pics. Keeping the dream alive!
I had an awesome time. The fact that it was rescheduled allowed me to attend, so perhaps there is at least one positive to the COVID-19 crisis. I took some pictures (including the one of Rusty and Fred above). I hope I can make it to Ramseur again soon. It holds a special place in my heart. (PS...this is my 500th post)
Four new Pistoleerâ„¢s at the RBC: Aim Small Hit Small (220), Cowtipper (213), Pelon (217) and Pistol Instructor Moylan - who picked up a cold pistol and shot an amazing 225 the first time. Thanks to everyone who attended!
I had a great time, plan to be at the next one. Met some great people and some great instructors. Thanks to all that had a hand in making this event such a success.
