Title: New Kensington, PA May 2-3, 2020
Post by: EZ3 on May 03, 2020, 09:30:15 PM
Appleseeds of Liberty were sown at Logan's Ferry Sportsmens Club on this fine Spring weekend.  Thanks to this fine range for hosting us for the sixth consecutive year, as our nation continues to endure life in a time of coronavirus.  Five patriotic Americans braved the contagion to partake of Heritage and Marksmanship instruction in unseasonably awesome weather.

In spite of the restrictions imposed to help contain the spread of the pandemic, great progress was made in Marksmanship, with Joe earning his Rifleman patch (211) and Nathan almost reaching Rifleman level (190).  Physical and mechanical issues hindered our other students, but all made progress on the firing line and participated in discussion of our Heritage.

As long as we have patriots willing and able to persevere in spite of trying times, how can we help but overcome our current difficulties?

Man am I glad to see that within my range of travels a proper appleseed event occurred. Thank you. Wish I could have made it down there to help out!

I was very impressed with the team of Lee and Klint, their detailed instruction and history lessons.

As someone new to firearms and rifle, the teaching and methodology of 'tried and true' techniques dating back to the early colonial days with an eye towards better marksmanship and hunting skills were a perfect match up for what I was looking for.

Being 70+ years with some physical limitations, I was surprised that I was able to participate in all the different drills and learn something from each one of them.  While there was some accommodation, I felt confident and capable in each set of drills that I participated in.

All in all the course provided a solid foundation for marksmanship that I can and will build on to hone my hunting skills.

Thanks again!

Bernie

Credit for that belongs to Glock1911 for being unafraid to "speak truth to power".  Truly a fine Instructor and a fine Patriot!
