Here is mine:

LaRue 18" barrel
LaRue Risr
Rock River Arms 2 stage trigger
Vortex PST 2.5-10 MOA
Magpul furniture CTR stock and  MOE K2 grip.

My favorite rifle is my AR15, which has been dubbed (affectionately I'm sure) The Purple Tyrant. However, my favorite rifle to shoot is the M1 Garand. Thanks to Cleveland for letting me shoot his. Maybe someday the CMP will build me one in purple.

My favorite rifle is built on an Anderson upper and lower.  It has a 20" Sabre barrel that is getting close to shot out  :'( .  It has an A2 buttstock and grip. The handguard is a Luth-AR  Palm M-Lok (super comfy).  The trigger is a LaRue MBT 2 stage curved.  The scope is a Primary Arms FFP 4-14x44 Mil-dot in a Burris PEPR  mount.

My favorite is the AR I built. I named it LEGO. It has parts from too many manufacturers for me to list from my phone and has been changed more times than I can count. Current barrel is a .223 wylde 16" competition 3gun barrel from Ground Zero Precision.

My favorite rifle is my Winchester model 1902, single shot .22 boys rifle. It was the first thing my great grandfather bought when he arrived in America. It has almost no rifling left, it's pitted below the wood line. It had a hard first 80 years of life. I learned to hunt squirrels and rabbits with it, at my great grandfathers and grandfathers knee. It was my first rifle, and if it comes to it, it will be my last.  It will be passed down again.

My favorite rifle is always the next one that I want to buy. It doesn't do my bank account any favors.  ;D

Either my M1 Garand (CMP H&R Special) or my Savage Model 99 in .300 Savage.  I have guns that are more accurate and are more "useful", but these are "different" and a lot of fun to shoot.

Ar 15
because it can turn it into an AR 10, Ar 9, AR 22, and so on

My current favorite is my trusty S&W M&P15T. Shot several Appleseeds and KD's with it and no major issues.

They have been restocking some of the PI returns  with persimmon stocks with the stain they applied they ended up a sort of raspberry color. Add a little blue...

Now to answer the question

My favorite is my straight stock rotary mag Savage 99 in 308, though my little Argentinian 1891 Mauser Calvary Carbine is a close second.

Mine favorite is my M1 Carbine, handed down from my grandfather to my father to me. I will pass it on to one of my sons. The serial number makes it a 1942 build, Inland. I sent it to Fulton Armory for a tune up and WOW this little rifle is smooth and accurate now with zero failures. Obviously, it is not the rifle of choice for long distance but it is fun to shoot.

My favorite rifle depends on what I'm doing.  Strangely, both are rifles I built myself.

General purpose / KD?  It's a frankenrifle built on an Umbrella Corporation stripped lower.  Larue stealth barrel, Ares handguard, Geissele SSA trigger, topped with a TA-31RMR.  Sling from Rascal21.

Competition?  Another homebuild, this one on a Saber Defense (Nashville TN) stripped lower.  White Oak Precision upper, generic A2 stock & grip, Geissele Service Rifle trigger, topped with a Nightforce SR-1 (4x) scope.  Sling from Eric Hollis LLC.  Weighs in about 17 pounds.

M1A - Springfield Scout, in beat-up surplus USGI fiberglass.  Not the prettiest, and only the third most accurate in the collection, but absolutely my go-to all purpose rifle.

The AR-15 platform in both 5.56 & 22LR.

The two on the pic are my babies. The pic isn't very good - taken using ancient phone with bad camera.

The one on the left is my Tippmann M4-22 (https://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=54831.0). Only mod is a Hogue buttstock. It's a great little rifle. I like it much better than the 10/22. Accurate and decent trigger right out of the box.

The one of the right is my Palmetto State Arms AR. It too has the Hogue buttstock and a LaRue MBT 2 stage trigger. (https://www.larue.com/products/larue-tactical-mbt-2s-trigger/) That's the one I use for both run n' gun events and KD. It has the stainless pencil barrel. It's fairly accurate. I'd say about 1.5 to 2 moa  accuracy with decent ammo. It's not bad for a cheap rifle. Cheap as in price that is - but good quality. Been reliable and a good shooter.  Maybe one day I'll be able to update to a White Oak upper.

BTW: LaRue makes a really nice trigger and much cheaper than a Geissele. Rusty turned me on to them. And even better - made in Texas right down the road from me.

Both of them sport a Primary Arms 5x Prism (https://appleseedinfo.org/smf/index.php?topic=52386.0) which I really like too. The 5x is pretty dang good and won't break the bank. I've had thousands of rounds through them and they've always held zero. And I'm pretty rough on the AR at run n' guns. It's definitely not a safe queen. It's been through hell.

I tried to set things up so that both rifles are very similar in feel which I think is good for training. I use the 22 for practice and the 5.56 for getting serious. Although the 22 cost a bunch it has more than paid for itself in ammo savings. And anyhow - people buy the Ruger 10/22 but after upgrading things it cost as much or more than the Tippmann.

I am kinda partial to this one right now

Mossberg Patriot Predator 308
Hornady cheek bag
Vortex 2-7x32 bdc
loaded with Speer 180 BTSP
taken deer
been to 400yards decently
light enough to carry all day
minimal recoil with the muzzle brake
not the most expensive rifle by any means but all around been very handy so far
if we ever get back to shooting not alone , it's going to a KD my goal is KD with a bolt gun 308

this is my son who shot his buck this year with it

I'm partial to the 30 caliber battle rifle. I have a bunch of them, but this one is my favorite by far. I think I am so enamored of the story of George Farr, that just owning a beautiful M1903 (though not a National Match) just resonates with me. I had been searching for one for about a year. At an OGCA meeting, I found a guy selling off some rifles for his Dad and this one came home with me. It's a beauty out of the CMP back in 2002. It gauges a zero and I doubt it was ever fired before getting to me. I will cherish it until I also get too old to wield it. Then I will find it a new home with the next deserving patriot.

I think my "favorite" changes every week! But this week's fav is one I just got: a Japanese Type 99.

The T99 Arisaka was really a forward-thinking design, but based on assumptions that changed before it even went in to production.

They were equipped with sights designed for volley fire against airplanes. But slow flying biplanes were obsolete by WW2. A tight fitting dust cover to protect the action from the dirt and grime of trench warfare. A monopod for stable shooting. All of those things proved to have limited to no utility in the Pacific theater and were ultimately abandoned as the war progressed to save on time and resources.

On the other hand, the Arisaka was the first mass produced rifle to have a chrome lined bore. The US wouldn't adopt this feature till the m14, and early m16 rifles didn't even have it. It was fitted with a magazine follower that prevented the operator from accidentally closing the bolt on an empty chamber (notably absent on the Lee Enfield, Mosin Nagant, and early k98's)  and the level of machining detail is just incredible. It just feels right.

As the war progressed, luxury features like a contoured bolt handle and intricate knurling on the safety knob gave way to a simple cylindrical bolt handle and a crudely welded safety. Sling swivels yielded to holes drilled into the stock to pass a piece of rope through, and a nice metal buttplate was replaced with a nailed on wooden protector. The desperation of the losing situation was clearly displayed for everyone to see. What once was a refined rifle ended up being an ugly (but functional) reminder that defeat was inevitable. Even cleaning rods stopped being included. That really speaks to the life expectancy of a Japanese infantryman towards the end.

Each rifle was marked with the symbol of the Emperor, a 16 petal chrysanthemum flower. The ‘mum was ground off on most rifles as not to let the Emperor's property fall into the hands of the enemy. Mine is uncommon with just a few strikeout marks across it. I wish I knew the circumstances of such a hasty defacing.

It's a very unique rifle and I'm glad to have one in my WW2 collection.

My current favorite, dubbed "Ensale"

- PSA "Don't Step on Snek" lower
- UBR Gen 1 stock
- Geiselle SSA-E 2 stage trigger
- CBC Industries 24" upper with Afterburner linear compensator
- Primary Arms 1-6x ACSS scope & cantilever mount.

She hates Wolf Gold 55 gr.
She loves IMI 69, 77 gr. as well as Nosler 77 gr
She shot 1.5 MOA at 600 yds at Talladega.
And she's made of parts that were all On Sale.

What an interesting question!

My favorite "do-all" rifle is my Recce AR (pictured). This is the rifle I finally qualified with at the Ramseur KD event last year.

Black Rain Ordnance upper and lower
16" Wilson Combat stainless (coated) barrel
UBR Gen 1 stock and Magpul grip (close-out sale for foliage green hardware)
Vortex 2.5-10 FFP scope
AR Gold trigger

My favorite dedicated 22LR is the Tippmann M4-22 Appleseed Edition - super accurate and reliable.

My favorite rifles to shoot in practice are iron sighted, bolt action rifles

- CZ 527 in 7.62x39 with tech sights
- CZ 455 Scout in 22LR with tech sights

Latest fun was cleaning a couple of red coats with my SCAR17S using irons and optics.

My favorite cartridge firearm is this 10/22 Deluxe Sporter. It has three upgrades: TechSites, TechSite sling, and BX trigger. I has allowed me to earn my Rifleman and Winterseed patches, and has never jammed with CCI SV rounds.

I realize it's nothing overly special, but it's the rifle I enjoy shooting the most, which is fortunate since I lost all my other firearms in a terrible boating accident recently.

Hmmm. The question is fun to ponder, hard to answer.

But, I will go with my Winchester Model 70, .270 Winchester. It's accurate, fast, and not too heavy. Great rifle.

Again,, what Gus said.

5 years ago, my Dad gave me his pre-64 Model 70 in .270,,,, and every piece of brass to ever go thru it.  MINT, and very bittersweet.
He just handed me the Rifleman's Rifle, and in doing so; admitted that he will never field it again.  2 years later he handed my the original sales receipt. Unreal

I've given this quite a bit of thought, and my RRA NM A4 is just plain easy to shoot well. But, I find it impossible to finish a string of fire with my M1 Garand without a grin on my face(even when my cheek is a little sore!)

  So, Garand hands down

My favorite rifle would be my trusty old Mosin-Nagant 91/30. It's a beast, made all the way back in 1939, and still capable of ringing steel at 500 yards. However I'm building an AR with a Palmetto lower with Magpul furniture and a Model 1 sales A3 Dissipator upper in 5.45x39 that's sure to take its place.

That's about asking like which is my favorite child...  ;D

I love shooting my dad's old Marlin 1894 .44 Mag.  There's just something about running a lever gun that just feels right.  Not to mention the ever-so-satisfying boom it sets off on the line - very distinguishable amongst anything else on the line most times.  Never shot an AQT with it, but have thoroughly enjoyed the big size holes it makes on a red coat!

I also still have quite a bit of fondness for my Marlin LTR.  It's what I used when getting my Rifleman patch and has shot the score for me (and others!) many times since.

Mine would have to be the M1 Carbine. I have had a "theoretical" love affair with the rifle and it's history for half my life. I was lucky enough to procure mine and order it mere months before the firearm situation went bonkers. It is one of the better quality reproductions. I ran it here and there and also put it on the line a bit both at a 25 m and KD events. By aiming at the top of target paper with the sights set at 350, I was able to place 13 out of 20 at 400 yards with a 10 mph cross wind into the zone. It ended up replacing my AK in the safe (I sold it for a song 6 months ago). If it was not for the occasional last round failure to feed, it could be my go-to rifle in an emergency. Right now after more than 4000 rounds fired that distinction belongs to my AR. And by the way, those soft point round nose loads take it up a level in terms of effectiveness over the FMJ. I will try to edit in a pic or two later.

I like my 1917 Winchester, found it at a gun show because the Winchester bluing caught my eye. It's all original including the barrel and will hit pop up targets out to 500 yards. My next favorite is one of my Winchester Garand's. I shoot the same load in both rifles and use the standard come ups. I can't wait to get the pop ups working again in Ramseur.

Probably my Weatherby Vanguard that I bought off a friend I was stationed with in Charleston. Shoots 7mm Rem Mag, which was a little too pricey (at $25-35/box but sports authority had them for $18/box some times) for my friend to keep shooting so he got rid of it, but now at 60-70 a box, it's a little too expensive for me to also shoot regularly, but it's still fun to take to the range every now and then and let it stretch out.

I guess at the moment it would be my 1022. It is over 33yrs old and I finally modded it into a tack driver. Has the sweetest trigger I have ever had the pleasure to squeeze, Kidd single stage set at 2lbs. Shot my first Appleseed with it still in its stock form and now I'm going back in September and I will walk away with Rifleman.

Back in the day I used to be all about team AK, but around last winter when it looked like we'd have an incoming administration likely to grab guns I built an AR-15 thinking I may not have a chance to later; and it's completely changed my mind. They just run and shoot better; and the parts are so easy to change out. Currently my cheap and dirty M4 style build is my favorite rifle. I know it'd be more accurate with a floating hand guard and a different barrel, but after over 1k rounds downrange it's still a solid piece of hardware.

I love my Steyr Scout, but it's less versatile. The Ching sling makes for easy stabilizing when firing standing, and the long eye relief scope gives me great peripheral vision. The one I got came in 6.5 Creedmoor, so ammo was almost impossible to find for about a year, but now it's approaching reasonable again. This is a great caliber, though. It feels like it shoots flat up to about 200 yds.

I've got a long wishlist, too. I really want an M1 Garand; they're iconic and rugged, but also out of my price range for now. I also have my eye on those WWSD 2020 rifles InRangeTV and Brownell's are partnering on. It looks purpose built for 2-gun action challenges. If they deregulated full auto tomorrow I'd want a FN FAL. I'm also eyeing a reproduction flintlock Pennsylvania Long Rifle.
