Vaporware, it was announced months ago but I know of no one that has bought one.  Basically a Winchester 10/22.

Agreed - except for the striker fire design part. I would be mildly interested in taking it apart to see how that was done. I would suspect the hammer fire Ruger design is easier to maintain. Any thoughts?

We had one on the line at Bonfield in June.  It was cute and light and handy but wrassled with the shooter from the beginning.  He was a big fellow shooting a small rifle and fit was part of it, but mechanically it had trouble.  It finally failed completely on Sunday and he gave up on it after breaking it down and seeing nothing obvious.  It did field strip wondrously, though.

Nice review, it fills me with confidence.  I'll stick with my Rugers and their wonderful bolt release.  The TC is tempting but it is a closer copy to the original.

I've had one for about three months now, and have put a little less than 500 rounds through it with only two partially failed ejections.  This was remedied by a little oil on the bolt.  I've used it with the peep sight and with a 4 power scope at 25-50 yds and have found it to be quite accurate with the scope, and very accurate with the peep.  I haven't taken it to an Appleseed, but I think it would perform quite well.  I'm left handed and especially appreciate the ambidextrous magazine release and the way the magazine pops out into my hand without any struggles.  I like the last shot hold-open, but have to say that it has begun to fail to hold open.  However, I recently emailed Winchester support, and they are sending a shipping label to return it for their assessment.  It is extremely easy to disassemble for cleaning, and seems very tolerant of any ammo I've put through it.  For distances greater than 50 yds, I might consider an upgrade to the sights, but haven't really shot it a great deal beyond 50 yds at this point.
