When the right mix of instructors and instructor-students come together, good things happen! Our time together at the Shaw-Woodard Firearms Training Complex was very productive. We have two Orange Hats (stockbreaker-IIT0: overmountain-IIT-2) working to be promoted to IIT3's at their next event. And, based on their performances at the IBC, those promotions are good possibilities. Squirrel85 (IIT1) really worked hard, and we look forward to seeing her move on up. Thanks to BooneCaudill, 6Bones, Roswell, Cleveland and CorgiMom for their assistance in making this a successful IBC not only by teaching assigned modules, but also for serving as small group leaders. A special thanks to Bug_7 (AC) for participating in all aspects, including presenting a history segment on Luther Blanchard and serving with others as a line student during the "line trouble-shooting" exercise. We are all eager for Bug_7 to reach age 13 so that she can continue to progress to AC/RSO and an Orange Hat! The enthusiasm and eagerness to learn and improve by all was evident throughout the weekend. We were all delighted to hear the history assignments delivered with energy and new details about the respective subjects. To all who dedicated a weekend to honing your skills and adding new ones for Project Appleseed, thank you. As I said at the end of the event, you are the future of the program...you are our legacy, and we were honored to spend our weekend transferring knowledge to our future "replacements".
Thank you all for the great instruction and camaraderie. I appreciated the opportunity to be a student. The facility is great. I always feel welcome and learn a lot from the folks in Georgia. As always, it was a pleasure to work with Cleveland and CorgiMom (fellow Tennesseans). I look forward to working with you guys again, soon. I took a couple of pictures, but primarily focused on learning. I recognized BooneCaudill for his contributions to Project Appleseed inTennessee by awarding him a Tennessee cadre patch. I apologize that I did not get a picture.
I'm pleased to express my sincere appreciation to all who made the event such a productive weekend of learning and improvement. The dedication of all involved and the quality of all aspects of the instruction was priceless, and cannot be overstated. These folks are the real deal. The best of the best- and it was an honor to participate and interact with each individual present. Looking forward to seeing you all on a firing line somewhere in the days to come.
It was a honor to work with such a wonderful group of instructors and students. I hope to see you all on the line soon.
