I met with a few other Rifleman, at the Vets Shooting Center for a Rimfire Know Your Limit(KYL)shoot, then our usual 600 yard Mid Range Prone(MRP) match, with service rifles and bolt action precision rifles.
We set up our steel target racks, and hammered the steel swingers from 35 yards to 75 yards. We also had a single steel swinger, the same profile as our AQT 100 yard target, but shot at 35 yards standing offhand, for bonus points! A lot of action and fun was had! Next time we will shoot the two different racks from 50 and 100.
On to 600 yards! There were three of us shooting service rifles, slinged up prone, 60 rounds for record. Excellent scores were shot and a good time had by all. Three others, were shooting precision bolt rifles in F Class, and were shooting awesome groups!
Shooting 600 yards so often, means the 400 yard AQT KD target is a chip shot, but is still a worthy level to work for, if you haven't yet!
As usual, we invite all of those who would like to get in some practice at KD or even the reduced course with some old hand Riflemen, to just reach out, we'll likely saddle up and meet you at the range!
Quinncannon, out.
