There are a couple decent reviews on the TC here:

Ruger has a long history of making them cheaper.
The company who uses Thompson-Center name, (but refuses to honor T-C warranty) strives to make them better.
Don't worry, the lawyers will win this time too.
I love mine! Nice little rifle with all the things ruger SHOULD do.

Wonder if one of the motivating factors ibehind the lawsuit is that T/C has made a few improvements on the original. Not sure about the legalities of the situation, but as a consumer, more competition is usually a good thing.
That's interesting since the Winchester Wildcat is a 10-22 clone as well with all the improvements and then some too.

Then they have changed something in the last 2 or 3 years because I sent a TC pistol frame back to them to fix a sheared screw internally on the safety and SW payed shipping both ways and fixed the problem under TC's warranty. I purchased the frame in 1985.
Hope nothin else breaks if that is their attitude now.

Smith and Wesson promised to honor the Thompson-Center warranty when they purchased the company.
Some owners are starting to mention that that promise only goes as far as the parts left.
I'm glad you got yours fixed, My contenders are in good working order, but safe Queens.
