Title: Seven Mile Hill Range, Kingman AZ - Nov 16th & 17th
Post by: HNHArmory on November 25, 2019, 11:52:14 PM
Seven Mile Hill Range has been a long time host to Appleseed.  It's always fun to work this range as we always get shooters from very different locations. This event we only had two individuals one walk on from Phoenix and one from Las Vegas, two pre-reg no shows.  That's okay! We did just fine with an instructor ratio of 1:1.

Even with just two students the pace was even for all of Saturday. We got sights carded and  ball & dummy done before lunch. We enjoyed some shade for story time at lunch, and we were back at it for transitions in the afternoon. Finishing day one with an AQT for score.

Day two was plentiful with AQT's after spending some time in the mornings to shoot some sighter squares at 45, a forcing NPOA drill.  Both shooters were excited by the Rapid Fire AQT so we did a few of those which everyone seems to enjoy, even if scores don't usually improve.

Kingsman was nice to us with pleasant weather and only enough gusty wind to knock over target frames twice.  Yes, that's a nice day here!

While I gave away no patches, both shooters showed significant improvement in their Redcoat targets and were touching 180's. Both gained an understanding of the role marksmanship played in the Revolutionary War and the desire to help RWVA fulfill it's mission by spreading the alarm further.

Apologies, no photos were taken at this event.  You will just have to come out and see for yourself next time.
