The shooters were on fire! And I don't just mean the scores. The 95o F weather both days with fire warnings due to the dryness made for a real scorcher.
But they didn't let that dissuade them...like the riflemen before them they persisted with attention to the marksmanship and the heritage.

The first day saw most of the equipment issues sorted out and AQT scores in the ranging in the 140s to 190s. But the real action came on the second day. First came Randy, Peter, and Tundra Badger requalifying in impressive fashion. Congrats!
Then 11 year-old Braden smashed through with a 218 followed up with a second qualifying AQT! Nicely done!

By the time the fifth AQT came around the heat was definitely having a toll. But that wasn't going to keep Briel back who opted to do a sixth AQT and ending up with exactly a 210! For some reason I don't think she minded the water dunking! Congrats!

Russ, Karen, and Doug also put up scores bordering on the patch. With some additional practice they will surely earn their patches soon too.
