Senior instructor / grey hat Kimber Custom was in the area, he sent the spanking new PQT 1 day ahead of the test.
We had time to officially shoot the PQT twice before it got too dark. I qualified BOTH times, with a 210 and a 212.

Kimber Custom said that as far as he knew, I was the first person to qualify Pistoleer (maybe other than the person who created it?), so,

Wife's got an embroidery machine so... with no idea what the actual patch will be... and maybe since Pistoleer is it's own day, not just a higher rifle achievement, it deserves its own patch:

Thought about a red, white and blue flag patch? Gadsden flag? I'm not on the committee, so I made my own.
My Practice was based on vague descriptions of the CoF and no actual target. It was a surprise 24 hours before the test.
Practice Stage 1: I had zero idea what the target looked like, so I practiced two weeks prior on an AQT at 10 yards.
Practice st2: AQT stage 2, two mags, 6+4, 15 seconds to put alternating sets of two shots. (2 in left, 2 in right, 2 left, mag change, 2 right, 2 left)
My practice st3: AQT stage 2 (200y simulation) 10 yards. 5 shots dominant hand unsupported, 10 seconds.
My practice st4: repeat same w off hand.
My Practice st5: AQT st3 (300y simulation), 10 yards, 10 rounds, 2 minutes.
Actual PQT is at 7 yards, and Stage 1 was timed at 13 seconds (I still did it in 10 seconds from practicing.)
If I hadn't practiced that small and far, I would not have made Pistoleer.
Also shooting that night was a red hat, a blue hat, and another no-hat like me, then we watched poor Kimber Custom attempt the PQT in pitch dark with irons.

My gear:
22/45 MkIII, Full Tandemkross upgrade kit with trigger, mags all have new baseplate with spring-assist ejection, Bushnell red dot, 9mm mag holder on belt (nice, loose fit for 22/45 mags).
