As advertised...
We had a blast hosting Trail Life VA Troop 40 for a one-day Project Appleseed event at Airfield Shooting Club! Though it rained the night before, creating some soggy conditions to one side of the line, we were able to improvise, adapt, and overcome - 17 adults and youth learned about their cultural DNA as marksmen, improved their shooting skills, and walked away with a better appreciation of what's required of them as an American - i.e. getting involved with our government, at all levels.

It was a pleasure at this event to reward several Veteran Instructors with Service Pins.
Huzzah to Monkey receiving his "50" Pin!
Huzzah to Missus Monkey receiving her "25" Pin!
and Huzzahs to JL receiving his "25" Pin!
It is good to recognize those folks who keep on keeping at this Appleseed thing!
Some of these folks have been at this quite awhile, then again I was just cleaning a rifle that has been in the program longer than I have (thanks VaShooter you are missed)....
Perspective, it keeps us in our place.
