It was a hot and muggy weekend. As a matter of fact, it reached Infernoseed conditions on Sunday afternoon, but guess what? That didn't stop 18 fearless patriots from coming out to drink from the firehose of liberty. Despite the extreme weather conditions, much progress was made throughout the weekend with nary a peep of complaint.
Congratulations to our rifleman Hunter, who requalified on Sunday afternoon with a score of 219. Well-deserved kudos also go to our youth shooters, Patton, John, William, Tanner, Ian, Matthew, and Tess. These young people were an inspiration to all of us. Their hard work, determination, and enthusiasm are contagious!
Thank you also to our instructors who came from far and wide to help instruct this shoot and to Joe for making sure that we had enough shade for all our shooters. The shoot was a success because of all of you! I hope to see all of you on the line again soon!
Wow that's a lot of shooters! Well done and I know what you mean by heat. Keep up the god work! :F
Students and instructors alike showed grit and determination in spite of the heat ðŸ"¥!
That would make the founders proud!
After the range was cleaned and massive canopies removed, Margaret had a unique approach to chillin out. ðŸ˜,
More pics to follow later!
Yep! Ice from Smoak's giant cooler. She lounged there for a good long spell.

Great shoot! Lots of determined shooters showed up despite the forecast of HOT! All shooters applied what they learned and improved their shooting skills. It's always encouraging to see so many young people at a shoot - thanks to all of them for coming out - CONGRATS to Hunter! Also, thanks to my fellow instructors for making the event fun and successful as well as the range who is always willing to accommodate our needs.
After the first Redcoat target on Saturday morning it was apparent that there was "room for improvement". By Saturday afternoon there had been improvementâ€"vast improvement. This tendency continued all the way through a very hot and challenging weekend. Verdict? The instructors were richly paid at this shoot. Thanks! Practice perfectly and perfection will come.
Great weekend with great folks.
