This was the first Appleseed Event at Liberty Ridge Ranch in Cleveland, TN. Twenty enthusiastic shooters arrived early Saturday morning, and all twenty returned for continued instruction on Sunday.
Riflemen persist.
Andrew, Brandon, and Heidi arrived with brand new rifles, ready to learn. Their progress throughout the weekend was amazing. Jason and Edward, it was great to see you guys again. You both are very close to Rifleman scores. Martin, your positive attitude made it a pleasure to work with you, and you can be proud of your improvements this weekend. Robert and Gareth, your persistence as new shooters, especially in the heat, was simply admireable. Renee, your enthusiasm is infectious. Keep up your dry fire practice. Jackson, it was impressive watching you shoot your bolt action rifle. Keep up the good work. DJ, so glad you came to expand your shooting knowledge. Aaron, you seemed to be having a memorable time along side your father-in-law, and always had a big smile on your face. We hope to see you all on the line again soon!
Eight-year-old Levi shot a commanding 238 from a bag. This young man is someone to watch out for in the future! His dad Stan re-qualified several times, ending the day with a PR of 232.
It was good to see Brent re-qualify with a 219, and Michael re-qualify with a 223.
Ted, you truly are a "Dangerous Old Man", shooting 226 on the last AQT with your bolt action rifle, while doing all the transitions! This man knows very well what he is about!
Congrats to the other three riflemen: Brad, receiving cold water from the North Bridge with a 210, Lucas with a 217, and Dave with a 216.
The Three Strikes were well received against the backdrop of grazing bison here at beautiful Liberty Ridge Ranch (it's not often we see shooters taking notes during history!). On Sunday, all instructors shared Dangerous Old Men/Women stories, providing welcomed breaks from the heat and a chance to hydrate.
Thank you all for being a great group and for your willingness to sacrifice a weekend for Liberty!
A few pictures from the event.
What an awesome weekend! The new venue was great and the instructor cadre was even better. I enjoyed working with all of you once again.
Thanks to this fantastic group of shooters for giving up your weekend to spend learning about history, heritage and marksmanship. Congrats to the new riflemen and those who recalled. Several others were knocking on the door. Keep dry firing and come back to see us again. You too can earn that coveted patch. Remember, riflemen persist!
Such a pleasure spending the weekend with you all, and I'm looking forward to seeing you at our future events!
Liberty!

Had a great time with a first notch crew and a wonderful group of shooters at a really amazing property!!!
:F This was my 5th Appleseed event and it was top notch!! The new location in the rolling hills of Cleveland, Tennessee was gorgeous, so peaceful and inspiring! Great group of folks, as always, it feels like family! There was a full shooting line, a mix of experience levels, and yet, Cleveland had everything so seemlessly organized that it went off so incredibly smoothly - all of the instructors were on their game, making for a safe, engaging weekend. And, ohhhhh, all those AQT's we got to do!! Loved it!! Can't wait til the one in September!!

Really enjoyed my time with such a great group of shooters and instructors. Congratulations to all the new and repeat riflemen, and to everyone who came out to further the cause of Liberty...what a great place to share about our War of Independence...Liberty Ridge Ranch. Thank you, Mark. Looking forward to another great event at your beautiful ranch!
Looks like you had a great event! Congrats to the new Riflemen. Lot of strong shooting going on.
What a great new location! Watching the Bison roaming and grazing as we told stories and gave instruction was fantastic. It's always a pleasure to meet new folks from the region (and some not so close to the region!). We had a great blend of skill on the line and the instructor corps noticed a marked improvement as the weekend progressed. I hope to see each of you at future Appleseeds.
My hats off to the instructors who were each instrumental in making this a great weekend. I'm honored to be able to wear the red hat and stand beside you all.
Huzzah! I hope to make it up there sometime! It sounds beautiful! Great job!
