With 23 attendees, we had a great weekend. Saturday was cold, wet, and chilly, with large puddles of water collected on the sandy line. Our shoes were wet, and feet cold, but the shooters were diligent, good humored, and ready and willing to learn.
Our Saturday redcoats showed some experienced shooters, with only 1 cleaned redcoat at the beginning of the day, and 5 at the end.
Despite a drastic change in weather on Sunday, we saw a loss of 11 shooters, leaving only 12. Of these, 5 shot rifleman by the end of the day; Jim H. with 221, 226, and finally 238, Jon M. with 225 and 235, Thomas R. who shot a Distinguished 236 on iron sights. Andrew M. at 224. and Andrew B. at 227, and a Distinguished 240.
The end of the weekend also saw the addition of three orange hats to our instructor corp. ajmumford (Andrew), jmurrayvt (Jon), and grombear (Andrew). We are excited for them to start their journey, and I think we can expect great things from each of them.
Another great patriot day shoot.
