"Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds." :snipersmi
Well we didn't have snow but the heat and thunderstorms definitely made for an adventurous shoot! The shooters pushed through the conditions to squeeze every usable minute we could before thunderstorms arrived Sunday afternoon causing us to rush to get rifles off the line.
Improvement in marksmanship was definitely seen by all. Bobby and Allen were running neck and neck on the race to rifleman and both fell just short with scores in the 200s. Mihret did a wonderful job as our dedicated marksman, putting tighter and tighter strings on the silhouettes. Waylon, Eric, Easton, Whitney, and Briel also saw positive movement on the AQTs and Red Coat targets. Peter put up another two rifleman scores, maintaining his string of requalifications.
On Sunday Shooter30-06 shared his The Spirit of 1776 history on Sunday. It highlights the contribution each person can make on the world. This was very well received and along with the other stories led to good discussion among the group.
Shoutouts to WilderMars and Darkfoot for their continued progression on their blue and orange hats.
Thanks to everyone for making this such a fun shoot despite the oppressing weather. I hope to see all of you on the line at future events.
