Has anyone tried the DPMS synthetic Garand stock?

I was thinking of switching to synthetic for my MBR and wanted to see if I could get some opinions on them. Who else makes synthetics for the Garand? Which is best. The only other one I can think of off the top of my head is Ramline.
Didn't know DPMS made one. Looks like a copy of the wood stock.
The Ramline stock is not a copy of the wood stock. It has a slightly narrower butt with a rubber kick pad. It has a checkered forend and wrist and the wrist area is longer and shaped different that the wood stock. The painted stock in my avatar is a ramline on my M1. So far no issues but I haven't butt stroked anyone, boosted anyone over a wall or fence, nor carried it in below freezing temps. that are known to be hard on plastics. Mine was bought black and camo'd with a krylon camo kit from WalMart. It is barrel heavy (the scout scope and mount adds to that feel) partly due to the butt being hollow...hope to get around to a little measuring and filling work this spring in an attempt to put either an M1 or M14 butt plate on it. A couple pieces of copper tubing or plastic conduit the right ID along with some of that expanding insulation foam might allow the metal butt plate trapdoor to be used for butt stock storage of a GI cleaning kit. Anyway, you'll get used to the muzzle heavy feel after your carry it and shoot it for awhile. You know the funny thing? When I go back to a wood stocked M1 it also feels normal. I wouldn't have expected that.
If you get the DPMS stock come on back and let us know how it works out.
Hmm, I'm thinking about one of these as well. Thanks for posting that Thisismyboomstick. I wasn't aware DPMS made one also. I really like the idea of using one of these so I can be a bit more rough with my newly acquired M1A without worrying about the wood.
I have one made by Bell and carlson. It is very nice, but was quite expensive (~$200 several years ago). When I checked into it several years ago the consensus was that B&C made the best synthetic garand stock.
I'm not sure if the ones I've worked on are the DPMS or the B&C (they look just like the DPMS one), but the name of the injection company that produced them was neither as I recall (but could be wrong). They do need about the same amount of work and maybe more than a poorly inlet Boyd's stock, more than usual detailing around the FHG ferrule area and lower band area but are very nice (and very temperature/humidity stable of course) when done with care. They can be camo painted rather awesomely too! :~
If this were an Ebert & Roeper review of the M1 stock movie, it would be two thumbs up overall. ;D
