It was a truly terrific weekend - a full line of modern patriots, perfect NC spring weather, and dedicated instructors who made the event move flawlessly.
When I drove in on Saturday morning, it was uplifting to see the range full of campers ready for a big adventure. Everyone showed up with a great attitude, not the least of which were the Sea Cadets from the Raleigh, NC Division. The shooters had teachable attitudes, and we got top notch instruction from Jyorb and Mother Batherick. Shooting improved dramatically as the weekend progressed, as we riflemen (new and re-qualified - along with two distinguished). Congratulations go to Aim Small Hit Small for his 249! Ohhh, so close.
My sincerest gratitude goes to Henry Foxall, Jyorb, Mother Batherick, Vaportrace, Mr.McCain, Laertes, and LittleZody for their total professionalism in pulling off this event without a hiccup.
