What a beautiful two days for an Appleseed shoot! It was a busy weekend at the Flagler Gun & Archery Club here in Bunnell, Florida with several other events also scheduled at the club.

We ended up with a full roster of attendees to help celebrate the April Patriot's Day commemorative volley. A minute of silence was also observed as part of the celebration to show our respect for our founding patriots.

It was great to welcome Todd and his three children Lelia, Aidan and Anya along with Joe and his daughter Sofia. Having youngsters attend an Appleseed always reinforces a feeling of good things to come in the future.

Several shooters were knocking at the door with scores of 204, 200 and 193 (nice going Jacklyn and CJ). But, the outstanding performance of the weekend was turned in by Travis. Not satisfied with shooting a Rifleman's score of 226 left handed, he switched over to right handed shooting and scored Rifleman again with a 211. Great job!

BTW, these scores were all attained despite being attacked at one point by a swarm of termites!

All the shooters showed improvement over the course of the two days. Webb had an issue with his scope mount that was sorted out late Sunday. Too late for a chance to qualify but I'm confident that he'll be a Rifleman in a couple of weeks when he attends the Tallahassee shoot.
Edree gave an outstanding presentation with his musket demonstrating what a "flash in the pan" actually looks like! Thanks, too, to FLawyer, Cold Warrior and Aninha for their terrific work in making this Appleseed a success.
Best to all,
Heavyduty77
Great job shooters!

Here's a couple of Joe.
Sophie was awesome!
Travis was studying the system... and it works!
He shot Rifleman from both sides.
Man, I'd give my left arm to be ambidextrous...

Shooters, thank you for getting up off the couch and joining your fellow Americans!
It was our honor to work with you.
Remember, tell everyone about Appleseed. We hope to see you back on the line soon.
:F
It was a great weekend for Liberty. Pete did an oustanding job as Shoot Boss and it was a truly memorable weekend.
For some of you Appleseeders who have been on the trail a few years you might remember a Red Hat with the forum name of Prof CJ. Welcome back and hope to see you on the trail again soon.

I only took one picture from the event that is worth posting. ColdWarrior is using the illustrious Shoot Boss as his model....
Then there is an older picture from a St. Augustine shoot a couple of years ago. The Red Hat coaching the young shooter is ProfCJ. He attended this Bunnell shoot incognito. He is not half the man he used to be. His shooting jacket can almost wrap him twice and he had to change his length of pull and move his scope to "re-fit" his rifle to his new "smaller" and more flexible persona. Huzzah.
Fantastic!
Jacky and I had a great time, and would like to thank all the Instructors for their words of encouragement and critcal eyes.
Best of luck to our fellow shooters! May your bullets strike true.
We will see everyone again in the future.
Once again, thank you for all you do to preserve the past, and educate for the future.
Huzzah!
