Little over a year ago when I got an AR I was searching for info on what the heck I should do to maintain it and the wilderness of the internet made me close the laptop few times just giving up and doing nothing. Then it wasn't too long I found this channel GunBlue490. He did an hour long video on AR cleaning. He pokes fun at some of the internet nonsense in that long video
He seems to know his stuff. I've reviewed it few times before breaking mine down to clean it again. I know I over oil it, try not too but I tend to spill the crap on there and need more paper towels to fix my mess. Oh well, try to be more patient. First time I cracked mine open was after my first appleseed following along Corvette helping his friend at a shoot!
Anyway, see what you guys think of this. He said he was an armorer (maybe in Vietnam) and went to few classes by Smith and Wesson and Ruger for working on various models. Way he talks I believe it

GunBlue is a good channel. I love his relaxed, down-to-earth demeanor. He's like a grandpa that reads you a bedtime story; the antithesis of the hand-wringing drama that tends to run around these days.
