Title: KD practice at VETS 26 March 2019
Post by: Quinncannon on March 27, 2019, 09:48:14 PM
Another fine day for KD practice in north central Arkansas! After the usual painting of steel targets from 300 to 600 yards, we were ready to shoot!

ArcEagle14 just received a new AR15 upper from White Oak precision and was eager to get 'er sighted in and ringing the steel. First off, started on the one inch squares at 25 yards, sight in was quick, with no issues. After checking at 100 on paper, it was just a matter of dialing up and hammering steel at 300, 400, 500 and 600 yards. Hammer he did, accurate, sustained fire made the ringing of steel music to the ears!

I brought along two rifles with new scopes, so my goal was to just sight in, set my scope turrets, record the come ups and hammer the steel! I was not disappointed, rifles performed well as did the scopes. After shooting some steel, I shot one reduced AQT with one of the AR15's, I wasn't disappointed with the score, a 238. Should be a good 240 plus rifle, only limit is me!

Next week,  we are going to mix in more reduced course AQT's with some KD as well and probably shoot M14's too!

As always, if anyone is in our AO, would like to shoot with a couple of ol' Appleseeders, give us a shout!

Quinncannon, out.
