This was originally a one-day (Thursday) event... a pre-KD for a handful of instructors so we could then go north to Pelham, TN and teach on Friday. But then the weather happened and happened and happened! We learned that the range in Pelham was saturated verging on flooded with more rain anticipated.
Many thanks to Joey and his crew at Talladega Marksmanship Park for making room for us on Friday. Students and instructors scrambled to change their plans. This became a two day event and it was so much fun! We had folks from Alabama, Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee, and Kentucky on the line!
Of course, both days we started with safety and academics in the classroom. Then we moved to the line to shoot! We finished up AQTs. It was obvious we had men and women who knew very well what they were about! Congratulations to:

As Thomas Paine wrote in Common Sense, "We have it in our power to begin the world over again." I challenge each of you to use that power and work tirelessly to increase Liberty!
Many thanks to Joey and his crew at the Talladega Marksmanship Park for a great two days. On behalf of all the instructors (to whom I am indebted and grateful), thank you for allowing us the privilege of serving you yesterday.

HUZZAH!
It was a "blast". :snipersmi Thank you for the CMP for their willingness to accommodate at the 11th hour. I also am thankful for for Rusty, Monkey, Missus Monkey, and Ramblin Wreck for making this an event to remember. This was the first time I have shot past 220 yards and I can't wait until the next time.
A rifleman adapts & perseveres. Good show!
I spent two days with some great Americans as well as some Appleseed legends. Very humbled to have been with y'all last weekend.
Hat tip to MO for making this range work for AS KD events, and kudos to the TMP team for being so accommodating.
Aside from that, a HUGE thank you to MO for setting up the Thursday KD to start with - you went out of your way, above and beyond.
This place is amazingly cool. For those who have never been to TMP - make an effort to go. Seriously. You will not regret it. There's a lot to be said about being able to generate DOPE for your rifle at 600 yards without ever getting off your mat...
That is great looking range. Would love to make it out there sometime!
Good job guys!
We were just telling shooters yesterday that you have access to the best range in the country to do unknown distance. Maybe we could arrange some events at each and do some driving. ;)
