Greetings Appleseed Nation, :F
February 23, 2019, Outside the Range it's cold and windy. Perfect weather to call the start of this event a Winterseed! Although this event took place in the "State of the Art" Indoor Range at The El Paso Community College's Law Enforcement Training Academy. It Was Just right in the classroom and just a bit brisk in the Range early in the day.
Ten awakening Patriots appeared in time to get the days activities rolling by 0830. Soon thereafter we were in the Range for the first "Red Coat" of the day. It was a good start, with only 2 shooters getting the Bayoneted. By the end of Saturday no one got the Bayonet, everyone had made significant improvement! O0
Sunday yielded even more improvement form all of the attendees, with several filling out the AQT with scores in the high 190's. Several Sharpshooters were shifting and confirming their NPOA's over and over, squeezing their triggers slowly and smoothly. Changing magazines with the dexterity of professional. But alas, no one achieved the coveted status of Rifleman. :slap:
Although our solo Novice shooter, Lori did, on the last "Red Coat" of the weekend Clear the Target(and it was perfect)... :snipersmi :snipersmi :snipersmi
Eleanor and Anna did receive their Young Patriot Awards and Anna did step up to become an Applecore Volunteer. Thank You Anna.
As the sunlight waned over the desert southwest, we bid one another a fond farewell as many of our guests voiced appreciation for the weekends activities and swore that we would meet again soon. ^:)^
"till we meet again", Happy Trails,
Jerry
Great job guys! :snipersmi :snipersmi
I genuinely enjoyed working with each and every student on the line this weekend! I mean, I always do, but each group brings something different to the table.
Such improvement, enthusiasm, and tenacity exhibited by all! :1luvu
Sounds like a great group and a great time.
The hard work comes first. The Rifleman patches will follow.
