First of all a Big Thanks to SaraSpa Rod and Gun Club, for the use of their range facilities.
We had 21 students join us this weekend to hear the message and work on improving their marksmanship skills. Students were a good mix of previous attendees and new students. We also had a very high Instructor to student ratio, allowing some personal instruction, and also some instructors taking a turn on the mat.
Saturday started with Josey Wales delivering , a powerful First Strike, It was Great to see Josey back in stride.
White Paladin handled the safety brief and then Students and instructors took their places on the line, we turned on the instruction hose...full pressure. Students were receptive listening and asking questions. Drifter52 handled a very detailed The Second Strike, while everyone had some lunch, including myself with a special delivery from our favorite Uber driver Dude!
We all headed back to the line for positions, practice AQTs and then Stage by Stage Qualifications,
The very first legal target produced a new, and 2 repeat riflemen, (although some mathematical errors cast some uncertainty on one score..) :slap: Bill does compensate for his math skills with marksmanship.
We finished the day with The Third Strike and the afternoon Red Coat ,which showed marked Improvement.
Sunday began much cooler than the previous day. We started with the Known Distace presntation, where students were connected listening, participating, and asking questions. By 0930 we were back on the line confirming zeros, and started AQTs. We completed many AQTs and helped make some more Riflemen. We had quick lunch break and were joined by Smurf, who stopped by to deliver cookies and listen to Dangerous Old Men and Women.
This was a Great Event, we were joined by friends and family's , Fathers and Sons, Husbands and Wife's, Best Friends, everyone pulled together and worked as a team.

Special shout out to this student. She was the ONLY one that stayed down on the mat for 3-4 minutes during the stage 4 AQT. She consistently checked and reverified her NPOA, as we asked everyone to do. She'd get the "last student off the mat" award if we had one. Outstanding!

Saratoga has always been a good event from as far back as I can remember to in 2009.
I am glad to be a part of it, though not as frequent.
Good people working for a good program with a good message..
Strength and Honor, Josey Wales
