Looks like the new Ruger Custom Shop just produced a rifle that already has a lot of the upgrades most people want to make when they step up from a stock rifle. For a lot less than you could probably do it yourself.

MSRP is $899.99. So it will be around $750... considerably less than what a lot of us have spent on our Rugers, with almost the same end result.
 Thanks for posting this, I didn't know about these!!
Very Nice! Looks like the only thing they overlooked was an adjustable length of pull. It will be interesting to see how well it shoots.
Thanks for sharing.
I'm waiting for the precision rimfire chassis to be put on a 10/22.
I have to be honest, a custom shop 10/22 is a self-defeated proposition in my world. But I am sure people will buy them.

They'll figure it out.
About the only thing you can't fit in a chassis these days is an AR15 receiver, but I have no doubt that
somewhere there is an engineer diligently working to fix that.

Tippmann Arms did it.. AR with almost a 10/22 bolt
Nice rifle, it has some great features. I think I would want to replace the stock, sorry
You will still have to un-lawyer the bolt release..... :wb: :wb: :wb: :wb: :wb: :wb: :wb:

Got one headed to the shop... I'll let y'all know what we think.
I'm surprised that Ruger hadn't done this sooner. For 30+ years I've done the following to stock Ruger 10/22's and never had one not end up a sub 1 MOA rifle at 100yds with good ammunition:
Throw away barrel band and replace forend
Shorten chamber
Recessed target crown
Add rear lug
Free float barrel
Glass bed action
Trigger job (doesn't improve accuracy but certainly makes it easier to shoot)
I'll be curious to see how these perform out of the box. Hopefully the receiver/barrel interface is straighter than most stock rifles. Not having to adjust windage for distance and having lots of extra DOPE to keep track of would be nice.

I will be chucking any sights they send and mounting a Nikon scope in Nikon rings. The scope is a gem, I shot distinguished with it on a stock Ruger. With this set up, I should be able to shoot 250!!

LOP was one thing I was really disappointed about on my Ruger Target Lite (https://ruger.com/products/1022TargetLite/models.html). Even with both of the spacers removed the LOP is still too long for my tastes, and certainly for a youth or slight statured shooter who might benefit from the lighter rifle.

I heard we were only counting 250 if it was shot with a rack grade centerfire and ball ammo. ;D

8mm Mauser, here I come!
For those interested; I just saw this rifle advertised in www.galleryofguns.com for $629.98.
