We had a great time at Shelby, IN for their first ever Appleseed. The weather did not cooperate at all on Saturday (in fact it got pretty ugly) and forced an early end to the day. However, Sunday was perfect weather in spite of threatening rain most of the day. We had 27 shooters on the line on Saturday and 23 on Sunday. Spirits were high. I should mention that our line was made up of 15 young people under the age of 18 which was very exciting to see.
Congratulations to Brain, Paul, and Nick for scoring rifleman. Special recognition needs to be made for Nick who scored a 240 and earned his Distinguished patch as well. We had a number of others who scored consistently in the 190s. Keep at it guys and remember that a rifleman persists!
I want to thank the Diana Chapter of the Izaak Walton League for hosting us for the event. Their range is fantastic and I am looking forward to more shoots there in the future. I also want to thank my instructors for giving of their own time to come and instruct. You guys are great!
I know there were pictures taken so let's post 'em up!
Took my youngest daughter to her first shoot this weekend. Although Saturday's rain out was a disappointment by end of day Sunday, it was a solid shoot. My daughter learned a lot and worked at bringing the instruction to bear. Thank you to Graywolf, Click, Captain America, Slapshot, ML, and Pepper Spray(love the name) for coming down.
Have a few pics to follow on edit.
