We had a fantastic weekend at Kalamazoo Rod and Gun Club on August 11 & 12. We had 84 degree temps and lots of sun (thank goodness for canopies.) We had 10 shooters come to the line, all with a willingness to learn and a sense of excitement. It was great working with them.
Congratulations to Pete and John on shooting re-qualifying scores (multiple times). Mark, John, Joe, and Kyle were consistently knocking on the door but could not quite get it done. Hang in there guys! You will get there! I also want to acknowledge John's participation. This 9 year old came to the line almost every string of fire, tried hard to do everything we asked, and his skills improved markedly over the weekend. Well done, John!
A huge thank you to the Kalamazoo Rod and Gun club for hosting our event. They went way over and above in getting the range ready for us, and made sure all our needs were taken care of. Thanks to Pete DeWitt our local boots on the ground for spear heading the preparations. Things went very smoothly thanks to his efforts. I also want to thank Click, Slapshot, and ML for taking time from their family activities and schedules to come and instruct. You guys are the best.
