Place holder. Will post AAR later today.
This was one HOT Appleseed, especially for Ohio. Both days the temp was in the mid 90's with heat indexes in the 100's and it was humid. We had plenty of water but even instructors found it difficult to stay hydrated.
We started Saturday with 8 shooters and on Sunday, 6 came back. Even with the heat we had a LOT of persistence, these shooters were not giving up. Everyone worked really hard but, alas, no attendees achieved that Rifleman patch this weekend. Several shooters were in the 190's, one even getting a 199! We did have Yankee requalify with a score of 213 and the Shootboss earn a distinguished patch with a score of 242.
We did also have an orange hat turn red this weekend! Little Buddy has been working hard over the last few weeks to get that promotion and it paid off.
There is also a new Blue hat that decided to join the ranks! Mark B. (Bailey on the forum) decided to help the program by taking a blue hat while he continues to work toward that rifleman patch.
Great work to everyone that came out this weekend. Keep practicing. Hope to see you on the line again!
Thank you to Henry County Sportsman Association for hosting us and providing lunch. Thank you to the instructor that came to help missy15, LadyDragon, Third Degree, Yankee, Topper and Little Buddy.
Way to go little buddy!! Can't wait to see you in red! ^:)^
And, nice job SB on that Distinguished patch O0
Congratulations Mark!
Although you still have to take orders from your Shootboss Spouse! **)
Looking forward to seeing you in the stylish red hat.
Now you have shoot Distinguished to keep up.
Let me also add my congrats to little buddy and a big Appleseed welcome to Bailey, our newest Blue hat. We had exactly the same weather and hydration issues at Marion this past weekend as well.
Again, well done little buddy and welcome to Bailey.
