Eleven shooters gathered Memorial Day weekend at Strategic Edge Gun Range in Chapel Hill, TN, to learn about liberty and to sharpen their marksmanship skills. There were a mix of new shooters, ones who were returning for another round, and even a father and son, Ron and Steve, who had registered for an event seven years prior and were finally managing to get to the firing line. Talk about persistence!
The weather forecast called for thunderstorms for most of the weekend, but we were lucky enough to only have a couple of brief showers until after we had packed the last of the equipment on Sunday evening. We did have plenty of heat and humidity though.
Everyone made progress throughout the weekend as was evidenced by the AQT scores. One score stood out from the rest as Charlotte, a returning shooter from two years prior, scored rifleman with a score of 218! Way to go!! Her father, Ben, had scored rifleman multiple times at this event last year and was there to coach her over the edge. It's always a pleasure to see families on the line and especially to see the rifleman tradition passed down.
I'll post a few pictures here and also provide a link to the awesome pics Palousie provided from Saturday.
