A great Appleseed in Pine Bluffs!
Saturday started warm and hazy, but a little slow: there were no pre-regs, but 3 shooters showed up - Nola, Julie and Mckenzie, and their shooting improved greatly during the day.
We had excellent instructorion given by DocJoe5,
RainRunner, sleepy, Airmed15 and colonial shooter.
Sunday dawned misty and drizzly and stayed that way for most of the day. The weather did not dampen our shooters' spirits, and Saturday's crew was joined by Rob's sons, James and Brennan and by Mckenzie's dad and brother, Wyatt and Conner.
KatyJo also shot when she wasn't coaching or instructing, and showed what it means "to shoot like a girl". She is not far from her goal of a perfect AQT!
Despite the drizzle, everyone's shooting improved dramatically, to the point where Brennan shot a 215! Congratulations, Brennan, on a job well done.
Thanks to the Pine Bluffs Sportsman's Club for hosting us once again. This is a jewel of a range, especially when it is green.
Thank you Charles, Diane and John for your hospitality both on and off the range. You are great cooks & hosts.
Thanks to all the Instructors for coming from as far away as Nebraska and doing a great job. Rob, welcome back!
Thanks and kudos to the shooters on increasing their personal scores and especially on their safety and their positive attitudes. Remember our heritage, and PERSIST!
PLEASE POST YOUR PHOTOS!!!
Berk is absolutely correct. This event is always fun, because the range is so nice and the club members so accommodating. Even though Sundays weather was uncomfortable the students attitudes were amazing. Great improvement from Sat morning to Sunday afternoon. I hope that these studnts will continue to practice and improve, seeing us in a month to demonstrate proof at Cheyenne.
I forgot that the local paper was out to do a story also. The photographer was there almost all day burning up the camera. I will post pics as soon as I get them downloaded and resized. Have not sen the article yet, and will also include a link.
