It was an excellent weekend for our Appleseed in Manistee, MI. The temperatures were in the upper 60's to low 70's which made for very comfortable shooting. We had 4 shooters come to the line to celebrate our heritage as Americans. It was a great time together. I should also add this was the first time in my Appleseed experience that the entire line was made up of rifles with iron sights (2 of the 4 were Ruger stock sights). No scopes at this event.
Congratulations to Peter who shot a rifleman's score of 210 and then confirmed it with a score of 220. Well done, sir! Now on to a full distance shoot!
Thank you to the Manistee Clan Muzzle Loading Club for hosting our event. Special thanks to Hank who came out on Sunday and gave a marvelous demonstration on the muzzle loaders of the American Revolution and also a demonstration on black powder burn rates. Very interesting! I also want to thank my instructors who gave of their time to come and be part of the shoot. You guys are the best.
I know there were pictures taken so let's post them up!
