Title: Blue Ridge Appleseed May 5-6
Post by: CokeGuy on May 07, 2018, 03:07:41 PM
This weekend it was a real joy to hold the Appleseed with such an enthusiastic group of folks! In spite of the threat of rain all day on Saturday, and the horrific winds Sunday afternoon, everyone stayed the course and were engaged. The wind on Sunday launched our popups like kites, so we had to take them down. Although we only had one requalification (Jacob) with scores of 212 and 223, all improved noticeably. And several were seriously nearing Rifleman.

Bristen scored a 207, but had one to many rounds in the a Stage 4 silhouette...in dead center! Given another opportunity, she will get the coveted patch. And, thank you and your husband for serving in the Navy! Doug, with iron sights, had fantastic groups on all stages; they were just off center a little too much this time. But, you "got it"...great application of NPOA. Cathy and Herbert struggled learning about their new Rugers. Kayleigh did so well with a rifle just too large for her size at this time but, at age 10, she endured liked a pro!

Boyce, work on the trigger and you will do fine. Hope to see you again soon. Check out events in your area. Eric and Lanier, so good to have father and son enjoying time together. Wes, you did better and better. Come again for another try! Nelson, my friend, may be time to join the rest of us in using a scope. Thanks to a great group of instructors on both days. Did we get some history shared, or what?
