The Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club is an amazing venue and we were very blessed to be able to shoot on their competition line with the electronic scoring system. Old PHenry was fairly rusty after five months off the trail and I apologize for my marginal performance. If my health holds, I promise to step up my game and address the suggestions made by the attendees.
I would like to see more KD Clinics, as I feel they help to dispel the silly notion that Appleseeds is a 25M/22LR shooting club. :wb:
I'll ask Big Chris to post some of his tasty pics.
Many thanks to all who attended.

Many thanks indeed! Great range, great shooters. BSZ was proven this weekend! It works and - it works well! Congratulations to all who scored the glory my friends. Thanks also to Blind Dog for the great pics, links are listed below. There are two video slide shows posted from this event on YouTube:

Agreed on BSZ. Out to 400 on a such a large (D) target, I see zero need for knob twiddlin. TOo easy to get out of whack. While differing rifle / sight configs will produce differing POIs, it is a simple enough matter to learn where you need to hold to git hits in V ring. Even my aging eyes were able to do it with iron sights. I found that 100 and 200 required near punkin on a post. 300 required slightly lower than dead on and 400 was about the same. Easy peasy - the rest is simply adhering to the basics, best practiced during dry fire at home.
Great weekend, guys.
PMRPC is an amazing facility. Really liked the efficiency that the electronic target system provided!
Agreed AJ - so much faster than going down range. That is also an advantage to "hits count" scoring, as opposed to numbers. I've run the math several times and it always come out the same either way - faster means more AQTs in less time.
By the way sir, what was the make of that fixed scope you were using again?
Huzaaah! O0
Hi Trey,
It was a Primary Arms 3x
http://www.primaryarms.com/primary-arms-3x-compact-prism-scope-w-the-patented-acss-5-56-reticle-pac3x-acss-5-56
It seems to be pretty good, the BDC was spot on out to 400yds with 55gr out of my 16" barrel. I came with a 100yd zero per the manufactures recommendation and it worked out real well. Shooting at 25m with it is a little weird as the 300yd point (as opposed to 300m) on the reticle ends up a bit too low at 25m. I sorted that out before the KD and I was glad I did.
It was epic. Thanks everyone for a great weekend! Can't wait to do it again.
A request has been submitted to the Range for a repeat performance March 30-31, 2019.
Finally, here are the pictures attached below. Thanks Scuzzy for fixing the issue!!
