What was supposed to be a nice weekend for the Northwest Nebraska Shooter's Range Appleseed went south!!
Saturday we had gusts of wind to 58 miles per hour and it annihilated our target line at least a half dozen times!! But, we kept repairing and shooting and thankfully it was not cold to add to the frustration. Thanks to the instructor crew and the six shooters who bested the elements and enjoyed a better day on Sunday, even though it was still pretty breezy but doable. Tim proved he was a great shot by qualifying Rifleman, and he accepted an orange hat and will be a real asset and swell the ranks of instructor here in the panhandle. The range host has made a lot of improvements to their club house and has a nice classroom now. They also have plans to change and improve their pistol range, making it a complete facility and a nice venue for shooting events. We appreciate their offer to host future RWVA programs.
