Thank you to the Cardinal Shooting Center for the use of their great facility!
Thank you to the 28 Americans that turned out to learn more about their Heritage and Marksmanship.
Thank you to the volunteers that make it all come togeather.
Dispite the cold we had a good turn out for this new range. We had 2 new Riflemen and one requalified. Two shot over 240.
The new riflemen asked about taking a hat at the end of Sunday.
It was a great weekend.
This was my first Appleseed of the year. What a great way to kick off the Appleseed season!
First, a big thanks goes out to Charles for stepping up to help out a brother shoot boss. Being able make that long, cross-border drive and run a large shoot at a new range on short notice, and do such a great job, speaks well of your capabilities and commitment. Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah! All of Ohio thanks our brother from the Keystone state.
I'd also like to thank the instructors who showed up en masse. Given the unique range configuration, this shoot would have been really painful without the number of instructors present. This being my first shoot since November, I was a bit nervous, but I shouldn't have been. This group of instructors just came together and worked as a team to get it done. Corporations should spend some time with these Appleseed volunteers to learn a thing or two about building a team.
Speaking of the range, what an amazing facility. Clean, well kept, and seriously enormous. This amazing facility and staff gives me hope for the future of shooting in America.
But, most of all, thanks to the amazing group of Americans who came out to the shoot. This was a pretty big line of shooters, and everyone was gracious and patient the whole weekend. People were eager to learn about themselves, their rifles, and their nation. I look forward to seeing you all again at future Appleseed events.
Hi all.. this is Rory from this weekend's shoot. I was one of the qualifing scores at 233.
This was my first appleseed and I had an awesome time! I appreciate all the instruction I received and the companionship of my fellow Americans. I look forward to the next event where I can continue to learn and grow as a marksman.
RodFather614,
Glad you had a great shoot at Cardinal. It is an amazing facility with great people. Now, let's get you to another shoot so we can talk about taking a hat and joining the corp of Ohio instructors. See you on the line soon I hope. We are back at Cardinal in June for what its worth.

Ask, and ye shall (hopefully) receive!
What a wonderful weekend spent with great Americans at the Cardinal Shooting Center in Marengo! A new range for Project Appleseed and a MASSIVE turnout. The cold was braved with only minor complaints (ahem....). But seriously, thank you EVERYONE for coming out. Everyone, shooters and instructors, worked to make this a fun and SAFE shoot. Keep practicing those 6 steps to firing a shot and your steady hold factors, and more riflemen will be made! Derrick, you made major strides in just a few short hours. Elizabeth, Jon, Kevin; some more user friendly sights, and you'll see improvement beyond your wildest dreams. Johnnyboy, you set a goal, and achieved it (even with your "challenge"). I hope to see you ALL on the line again soon
Looks like you all had a great event! Congrats to everyone
Looks like it was a great Appleseed weekend. I so wish that I could have made it. A great big thanks to all that were able to attend.
Sounds like a great event. Thanks, Chuck, for stepping up to cover for Corvette. :snipersmi
Huzzah! Way to break the ice on 2018!
